Stuff on a Sunday – Cocktails at Malmaison & #5MinutesPeace

Another week has flown by, the first week of the Easter Holidays for us. We spent last Sunday and Monday in London, spending time with Athena’s Godmother and sunning it up in Regents Park. We also went on a Duck Tour & a stroll round London and both kids actually did really well, considering Athena walked miles and Arlo was stuck in the buggy for a lot of it! Tuesday seems to have been completely erased from mind as I genuinely have no idea what happened but on Wednesday I packed the sprogs off to the childminder to get some work done, though I did fit a sneaky mid morning bath in! Why is it that baths seem so much more indulgent during the day? On Thursday I had my…

Stuff on a Sunday – Rambles & spring time

A super quick post this week as I have been so busy and still under the weather so I didn’t get my bum in gear to schedule anything so im writing this on my phone on the train to London with the kids. Arlo is asleep on my lap really awkwardly so I’m typing on my phone with 1 hand! Last Sunday we had a family ramble up to Cissbury ring and the surrounding areas, to see the new forest ponies that have been introduced there but I’ll share photos in a separate post at some point! This has been Athenas last week at preschool before the hols so we’ve got two weeks of freedom (haha) ahead of us! Last week we spent a couple of afternoons at the beach…

Stuff on a Sunday – Arlo is two & time away!

Last week has been pretty lovely, illness aside. We had a little trip away for Arlo’s birthday, he turned two on Friday! Sam had another week off work following his snowboard trip the week before and the kids made the most of having him home a lot! I’ll be writing about each of our days out next week along with a couple of videos too so I’m going to keep this short and sweet and move on to #LittleLoves and just leave a few pictures here…

Stuff on a Sunday – Lone Parenting, Babe & Sheep

I survived a week of lone-parenting, just; it was a close call! I am full of cold, you know the type when even your tongue itches? And your tonsils are swollen… that sort of cold. Both kids have runny noses too, oh and my eyes are super itchy. However we survived, I kept on top of the washing, re painted bits of the kitchen and playroom and even put a blind up in the bathroom. The kids spilt a whole bottle of water over the sofa, and emptied a cheerios over two different floors on two different days, fun. Sam got back late last night having had a lovely Snowboarding holiday with no broken limbs, hurrah, and has promised me a lie in for Mothers Day today (I’m typing this…

Stuff on a Sunday – #5MinutesPeace, Bugs & Sun

This past week has been pretty nice, the weather was gorgeous on Wednesday which was one of my two days with the sproggles, we went to the beach and had a play in the park (my feet got buried in sand) and then my mum came over to look after the kids for the afternoon and I took my laptop to the pub and got on with some work! Arlo was sick on Tuesday night though, in the middle of the night he just sat bolt upright and vomited his dinner all over the place, then up came the water he had and then when there was nothing left he was still trying to be sick, poor little thing, so two changes of clothes and one set of bed sheets later…

Stuff on a Sunday – Dear Zoo & Delicious

I’ve really got nothing to say about the past week, its only saving grace was Saturday. We had a gorgeous family day out at Amberley Museum (we have season tickets so we go a lot but we really do love it there) and it was so warm that we ate outside for the first time this year! I lost a working day this week due to sickness meaning the childminder had to close her setting, so have been working every evening till quite late. I also covered two extra shifts at work so I feel like I’m a bit behind with blog stuff but I’m too tired! This is the only photo I took on my phone today, unflattering of me but a rare one if Sam and I together!…

Stuff on a Sunday – Slimming World, Tiredness & Friends

We were back in a normal routine this week after a week away, getting back on Sunday evening, flinging a mountain of clothes in the machine and frantically trying to find lunch boxes and pre-school jumpers! We had spent most of Sunday at our friends house in Norwich before we drove home. They have two children close in age to our two and although they don’t see each other very often they seemed to get on okay after a few teething problems, which is a relief as we’re all off on holiday together in May! We also had friends over yesterday for a play and lunch in the morning, and then went to the park and met a preschool friend in the afternoon! I’m loving the slightly less bitterly cold…
