Stuff on a Sunday 49

Well I’ve been pretty naff at keeping up with these weekly catchy up posts, but in all honesty they’d be pretty similar for the last few weeks to maybe a blessing in disguise! I’ve been more stressed than I’d like to be as I’m spending a lot of time just me and the little ones as Sam is working so much. I even made myself a bracelet to remind me constantly of my new life-motto “this too shall pass” as I was getting irritated and sometimes even angry at the…

Stuff on a Sunday #48

The last few weeks have been a bit manic, we were away last weekend so I  didn’t get a Stuff on a Sunday post up so this is two weeks worth of nothing very exciting really! My poor mum came home from a holiday in Vienna two weeks ago with a corneal ulcer in one eye, so she’s been in excruciating pain and had to put drops in every half an hour day and night for a week. Because she can’t see to drive I’ve been ferrying her to and from…

Stuff on a Sunday 46

I’ve been a bit slack on the Sunday update posts really, the last one was in September I think! In my defence nothing really exciting has happened, and sometimes when I think back over the past week it’s just a blur of bedtimes, playgroups and park trips. This last week however has been really long, stressful and tiring with a couple of highlights! Arlo got sick last weekend, a streaming snotty cold, a tooth that just wouldn’t push through even though it’s partner had arrived almost 2 weeks before and…

Stuff on a Sunday #46 (on Monday)

Another few weeks have shot by since I did a Stuff on a Sunday (although yes, I realise today is Monday!)  post but in all fairness we’ve done nothing out of the ordinary really so it’d not be a very exciting read! Playgroups mixed with park trips and at the start of the month a few more splash pad trips! This past weekend Sam’s dad came to stay for a few days, so we went to a local cafe for tea and for Athena to shoot about on her Scooter. She’s…

Stuff on a Sunday #45

Stressful is the best way to describe the last week, although it started off well! We spent last Sunday at Donna’s house to celebrate her little girl turning four years old! It was a perfect day, bouncy castles, barbecues and lots of new friends for Athena to play with. Monday was the first bank holiday Sam had off this year I think and of course it rained! We did venture out in a dry spell in the afternoon with a buggy board for the first time, and we bought Athena…

Stuff on a Sunday #44

This last week has been fairly wet. I have more pictures of Athena jumping in puddles on my phone than anything else I think! We’ve not done anything particularly exciting and all the days seem to merge into each other so here’s a little list: Got up and onto a train with both kids by myself before 7am, arrived in london at rush hour and managed to get a bus to where we needed to be on time! Oh yes! I can’t share what we were doing just yet…

Stuff on a Sunday #43

So I had a few weeks off from these weekly posts, and at first felt bad but thought at least I’m not writing them because I’m busy doing things and having fun, and then being exhausted from having fun/doing things… Anyway the last few weeks have been full of little days out, either to the park, play dates at friends, long walks along the beach (an 8 mile round trip pushing Athena and carrying Arlo no less!) and then on Friday just gone we spent the day at a local…

Stuff on a Sunday #42

Another week when I don’t have the time or the energy to write up a proper weekly review post. Bit of a disappointing week as we had an offer accepted on a property only to have to withdraw it because our mortgage advisor is a douchebag basically. It’s a long story and I can’t be faffed to go into it but ce la vie! Clearly wasn’t meant to be! We spent a lovely day in Hastings (read about it here should you desire, there’s a really cool practically vertical railway!)…

Stuff on a Sunday #41

I’m feeling a bit blah today and don’t have the energy to write a full recap post of the last week but in a nutshell: Sam’s dad came to stay for a couple of days We went to a friends wedding reception on Brighton Beach. They’d hired a We viewed three properties, 2 were lovely one was super scummy. I always assumed ‘double bedroom’ means you can fit a double bed in and have room to walk around it but it seems not! I started a new book (John Grisham’s…

Stuff on a Sunday #40

Another week has flown by in the blink of an eye, probably because we’ve been so busy! I’m still feeling a little behind on blog things, I have two events to write about and then I’m more or less there and have been turning down review items in favour of sleep, reading books and spending time with my two gorgeous little people! On Sunday we headed off to Portsmouth for Arlos underwater photo shoot with Waterbabies, then went to Gunwharf Quay after (a discount retail shopping place) which was absolutely…

Stuff on a Sunday #39

Last Sunday was AWESOME because I made a trip up to see my favourite redhead Donna. We arrived in time for lunch and she’d put on a lovely buffet lunch for us, the little ones sat and ate at the kids table and we chatted. Then they headed into her garden (complete with playhouse, swings, slide and sand pit!) which kept them super busy so we could catch up some more! When her husband arrived home he fired up the BBQ, so not only did I have a lovely day,…

Stuff on a Sunday #38

This week has absolutely flown by! This weeks main themes are ‘HOT’ and Charlie and Lola… On Sunday Sam did a half day at work so we took a walk to my friend Anna (Anna’s Drawing Room) Artists Open House, which was lovely! We got to catch up with the lovely duo behind Hello Dodo, eat some home made cake and chat to a nice old dude who was there too! Athena decided she was too shy to make any badges so I made one with her name on and…
