Sunday Scrapbook: Bruises, Heatwaves & Den exploring

Well Hi! A bumper catchy up post from me as I’ve not done a Sunday Scrapbook in a couple of weeks, much to my own annoyance! But I wasn’t annoyed enough to miss out on precious sleep to write one so there we go. This blinking weather would be gorgeous if I was on holiday and didn’t have to get on with the daily grind of general life but I do, so it’s not. It’s hot, sticky and humid and it gives me a headache more often than not! I’ve still been feeling pretty ‘everything is getting on top of me’ for the past couple of weeks, though I do feel like perhaps I am not doing enough to help myself. Scrap that, no perhaps about it, I am definitely…

Sunday Scrapbook: It’s okay to not be okay

I’m struggling. I can’t seem to get anything done properly. My house is a tip (more than it normally is) and there are piles of clean washing that have been waiting to be put away for over a week. I have adminy paper work to file for household stuff, and last year’s tax return to file work wise. I have a gazillion blog posts to write in my head (thankfully nothing review wise is outstanding as I’ve been saying no to most things) and no time to get them actually written. Then when I do write a post I don’t have time to schedule any promotion for it so nobody reads it anyway! I want a holiday, I need a break, I need to savour this last summer with Athena before…

Sunday Scrapbook – Beaches and big puddings

A super quick post from me as I’m on my phone and we’re currently camping in Rye. Firstly Happy Fathers Day to all the dad’s out there! Hopefully everyone has a lovely day planned? We arrived at the campsite on Friday night, had a gorgeous morning at Camber Sands on Saturday and a stroll round Rye in the afternoon. Thankfully both kids are still sleeping as I write this… it’s 7am which is a miracle for them! Fresh air, late nights and a hot tent to sleep in is the way forward!   The rest of the week has been pretty nice too, family day on Monday where we went out for a pub lunch, a walk around Highdown Gardens – which is local to us and somewhere I spent a…

Sunday Scrapbook – Birthdays, Boats & a Busy Week

It’s been a slightly hectic week, Athena’s birthday, Sam being away for a couple of separate nights for work and a whole bunch of errands. I’ve also become addicted to Madam Secretary too, I can’t stop watching it! Last Sunday we had a lovely day out at the ‘Floral Fringe Fair’ at Knepp Castle near Horsham, Athena and her friend did a little kids yoga session, there were lots of old vintage cars, organic cider and some lovely cakes! When we got home we had a little nap and then headed out to a friends for the kids to have a splash in their paddling pool. It was a lovely warm day, then the rain hit for a few days! I have still got a super itchy back from getting…

Sunday Scrapbook – Fun Days Out & Sadness

Half term has been a funny week – loads of sun and a bit of rain and lots of fun, with added tantrums thrown in for good measure. On the Bank Holiday we had a family day out, took our Me & Mine photos and visited a little farm, with parks, ride-ons and a tractor ride, which was a lovely day! Tuesday was just Athena and I as Arlo was at the childminder, so she did some letter writing practise (still not interested really!) and I did a bit of work – which mostly consisted of spending time talking to tech people trying to sort various email issues out! (Microsoft office help people are naff and the TSO host people who I host my blog with were very helpful, in…

Sunday Scrapbook – Lonely, Beaches & the War.

Hands up who caught the sun this week? We had a couple of blinking gorgeous days on the south coast! I crept out onto the roof a couple of times to bask in the warm rays, we’re not meant to really but the kids weren’t home and I couldn’t resist a peaceful half an hour out there! I managed to not get too sunburnt either, which makes a change for the first sun of the summer! Arlo has still been a bit of a nightmare as he carries on getting over his virus, but he woke up this morning without gunky eyes so I’m hoping this is the last few days of it! He’s been a nightmare going to the child minders, as we turn the corner into her road…

Stuff on a Sunday – Low Tide, Screaming & Dinner

This is the last ‘Stuff on a Sunday’ post you’ll read, but panic not! I’ll still be doing them only they’ll have a different name by next week, as will the whole blog as I’m re-branding this week! But anyway, I missed an update last week as I was up to my elbows in washing or under a poorly Arlo. He had a nasty sickness bug for four days, which made him super grumpy, though understandably so! Anyway I spent a bit of time writing up our Bluestone holiday, and editing the vlog last weekend between bouts of him being sick and loading and unloading the washing machine! Arlo got better for a couple of days and then turned into the toddler from hell, which was fun. I’ve been so stressed…
