Style: Kids Winter Warmers

Last week I shared a ‘winter warmer’ wishlist for myself, so I thought I better get started working on the kids winter wardrobe too! At the moment the kids are knocking about in trainers still but I know it’s only a matter of weeks till it’ll cold enough for boots, thick coats and woolly hats! I found both these pom pom hats (and the matching scarf) at Tesco, and it’d be rude not to get an ‘A’ initial hat for Arlo, right? In fact the wellies and boots are both…

Style: My Mum Uniform

I’ve spent a while honing my mum uniform, and though I want to edge towards more dresses at some point, but at the moment it’s a skinny jeans with a lot of stretch, a jumper and a pair of flip flops. However the temperatures are rapidly decreasing and especially at 8.15 in the morning it is a bit too chilly for my trusty flip flops! Thankfully I have new pair of boots from JD Williams that add a bit of fun to my often boring ‘uniform’ in the form of…

Style: Yoga wear with Asquith

Now Athena is at school and Arlo with the childminder three days a week I am really hoping to carve out some time for myself  during the week. I’ve not done any proper exercise other than the odd swim or long woodland walk since Athena was born and shes now four! Having two kids in under two years has definitely changed my body as I didn’t really watch what I ate or look after myself at all. But now I want to change that! Realistically I know it would be…

Style: RayBan Wayfarers from Ottica

I go though sunglasses like there’s no tomorrow. They either get lost, scratched or pulled apart by the kids. Till now it’s not mattered that much as they’ve all been cheap pairs but now I am taking much better care of a pair of new Wayfarers from RayBan. I was planning to get a new pair of sunnies to take to Israel on October so when I was asked to choose a pair from the range at Ottica RayBans seemed like a good idea! I can’t get on with sunnies…

A charming bracelet from Charmworks

I wrote last week about my first year as being a mum of two, and how different it was transitioning from one to two children. As a way of celebrating my first year as a mum to two Charmworks very kindly sent me a personalised charm bracelet. A charm bracelet is something that is incredibly individual to a person, something completely unique and special to them and I am over the moon to have my own now, and I’m already looking forward to adding charms to it in the…

Summer dresses and Mama Jewels

We live in a first floor flat so have no garden of our own but thankfully have have a nice little communal garden that nobody else uses! The gardener comes every week to mown the lawn and  sort out the flowers and shrubbery so it’s a lovely space to chill out in and enjoy being outside without having to go too far! This last weekend we’ve spent time out there three days on the trot and it’s been so nice! Sam has been faffing around doing ‘muscle memory’ for snowboarding…

Brightons Best: Posh Totty Designs

On Thursday I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Posh Totty ‘posh party’ & what a party it was! Cocktails in mason jars with stripy straws, tasty treats both savoury and sweet and jewellery so gorgeous I didn’t know where to start looking first. On top of that a stylish shop, clean simple and well laid out with a passionate team of clearly talented people to chat to. The perfect Thursday night.    Posh Totty started in 2004 and have recently opened their new premises on Sydney Street…

Fat Face Holiday Shop

Fat Face isn’t a brand I have any familiarity with, so I was happy to be given the option to choose a couple of items from their Holiday Shop. There was so much to choose from, with styles to suit all shapes and sizes, and ages too I think! I’m always a little wary of ordering online from a brand I have no experience with in case sizing ends up being really out, but what I loved about the Fat Face website is that every item has a ‘user…

Maternity style: Frugi Nursing dress

Hands down the most comfortable dress I’ve worn this pregnancy is this gorgeous dress from Frugi. Not only is it comfy now but it has discreet nursing panels so that I can continue wearing it once the bump has become a baby! I love the pattern, bright bold florals on a navy background. I really wish these photos had a nicer background actually, but a combination of Sam working 8 hours on/8 hours off for three days this week and me doing my last three shifts at work before…

My tips for dressing a bump without spending a fortune

I wanted to do more maternity style posts this pregnancy, but time is rapidly running out it seems! I do have a GORGEOUS maternity and nursing dress coming up this weekend though! Below are some tips for making the most of dressing your bump without spending a fortune, but first here’s one of my go to outfits at the moment, my trusty Topshop Leigh maternity jeans and a maternity floral shirt from Newlook. Excuse the sunglasses, I had conjunctivitis and nobody needs to see a puffy eye!    I love how…

Stylish changing bags big enough for two!

When I look back at the first couple of weeks of having Athena I’m always amused at the fact that I literally just look a travel changing mat, a pack of wipes and a few spare nappies out, tucked into the bottom of her carry cot on the pram. No change of clothes (these were slightly pre the poop explosion days) and we didn’t need bottles as I was breastfeeding, and it didn’t occur to me to carry anything else, as I was still using a normal handbag! Fast forward…

JORD wooden watches & win one! [ended]

I’ve not worn a watch since I stopped working full time, which was when Athena arrived. Now I tend to use my phone to check the time when we’re out, which is annoying as then I get sucked in to reading any messages or timelines that have updated. Something I really want to work hard on when the new baby arrives is spending less time ‘online’ during the day when the babies are both awake. I also LOVE watches, especially unusual ones so when JORD got in touch to see…
