Me & Mine – September 2017

Still on a roll with the outdoors photos! These are pictures my friend snapped for us at a Wedding last weekend, on my phone camera, would you believe? Blimming loving the Samsung s8! Anyway, it was the best day as the wedding was just so chilled out, no strict schedule to adhere to, oodles of photos to pose for, plus great music and in a lovely location surrounded by gorgeous countryside! We all had a great time as the kids ran free and we could chat to friends, and hopefully we look as happy as we were in the photos! It was also pretty sunny, hence the squinting going on!  Anyway, this month has been quite a change for us now that Athena is at school she doesn’t get to…

Me & Mine – August 2017

August was a lovely month for us, mostly anyway! It would have been even lovelier had Sam not been working quite as much but that’s life I guess. We had two little breaks away in Oxford & Brighton and many trips to the beach! Both the kids have suddenly become very attached to their Daddy, and every time I asked them not to do something they whinged for him. Every time he left the house to go to work they both had to have numerous ‘huggles’ and competed to be the last one to hug him. Of course when he’s about Arlo isn’t that fussed by him and prefers me when he hurts himself or wants something… fickle creatures these kids! Our photos this month were taken at the beach…

Me & Mine – July 2017

Our family photos were taken right back at the start of the month at Legoland, at the end of a long day but we’re mostly still smiling so that’s a bonus! We’ve managed to keep the outdoors theme running for seven months now! This month we’ve not seen much of Sam really as he’s been working pretty much all ‘late’ shifts at work, leaving home just after lunch and getting back around midnight or later. So on the days when Athena was at school and Arlo at the childminders they were pretty much like ships in the night!

Me & Mine – June 2017

June was a lovely month, warm, mostly sunny and I had two little breaks too! One with family (we went camping to Rye) and then I had a lovely break with some wonderful blogging ladies to Riverside Cottage in Hampshire, but that was on my own, two blissful child free days! Our photos were taken on our camping trip in the middle of the month, and although these photos are by no means perfect I really love them because they just show us we were- barefoot, happy and squinting in the sun! This month I have been reading so much more, hiding from the realities of everyday life so be honest! I’ve also been trying to eat more healthily too recently, although I’ve not been that good at it, to…

Me & Mine – May 2017

Gosh this month has been so hard, the first week was okay – it sped by in holiday preparation – filling suitcases, doing an online food shop and planning our stay at Bluestone (here’s our vlog) and then the actual holiday was wonderful! Sadly though the rest of the month has been a bit shit. Arlo got a bad virus just as we got home from holiday, and spent four days not keeping anything down and generally being really poorly. Though he has stopped being sick (thankfully, he’d have wasted away!) he’s still not himself. I even took him to the GP to find out what was wrong with him; not eating much, not sleeping well, really clingy, angry (a  ngrier than normal!) and just a bit of a nightmare.…

Stuff on a Sunday & Me & Mine April 2017

I’m cheating a bit this week and putting my Me & Mine photos in with my normal ‘Stuff on a Sunday’ post purely because I can’t be bothered to write two separate posts! I spent the week doing a bit of planning for holidays and days away in the Summer, always exciting! I had by penultimate day at the hotel, my last day there is Wednesday coming and then I am FREE! hurrah! I spent Monday reminiscing a bit about work and our old colleagues as he is visiting the UK from Australia where he lives now, but we met at work years ago! We went to the Sealife Centre with the kids and then strolled to the end of the Pier and back (it as a soft play centre…

Me & Mine – March 2017

March was a funny month, it feels very bitty and also seems to have stretched out longer than an average month! Sam had a snowboard holiday in Austria for a week, so I had a week of looking after the two little angels (haha!) on my own. We had some lovely days out whilst Sam was away, including a trip to see lambs being born, a couple of seaside strolls. I then got ill as soon as Sam got home and spent the first half of this week being tired, miserable, snotty and swollen!
