Me and Mine in October 18

Oh blimey, yet another speedy month behind us as we hurtle ever onwards to Christmas and a new year! We took these photos the weekend before last in the middle of a country walk around Slindon, where we headed for our annual pilgrimage to see the Pumpkin display. They’re a bit nutso looking as we had to try and get the kids laughing as they didn’t want to smile, but I really like them! I really love the kids faces in the one above, I think I’m going to frame it! This month I have been loving seeing friends and their kids for days out and lunches and play dates – I expect we’ll have a fairly quiet month as the evenings draw in so I feel like at least…

Me and Mine in September ’18

Okay, I know it’s not September anymore, in fact it hasn’t been for a week now but I’ve been busy and a ‘Me and Mine’ post slipped my mind, and in fact slipped my mind throughout the month as we were so busy- this phone snap is the only complete family photo we managed to capture! Sam has been busy teaching people to drive, I have been busy getting on top of my workload after the summer holidays and the kids have been busy settling back into their school/preschool routine. For more of what I’ve loved this month there is a Scrapbook Loves post with what we’ve been reading, watching etc!

Me and Mine in August 2018

Despite spending the vast majority of the month together we’ve not managed to take a sensible family photo this month on any of our many days out and weekends away, ce la vie! So I give you two selfies, one from our day out at Chessington and one at The Big Feastival, and also a photo of us all wearing masks at London Zoo. I think these pictures sum our month of fun pretty well to be fair, and we were too busy having fun to take a tripod somewhere and set up a proper shot! Sam is: Enjoying being a driving instructor! Playing LOTS of a game on his playstation that I can’t remember the name of. [I asked, it’s The Division] enjoying reading the kids their bedtime story. This…

Me and Mine in July 18

July has been a lovely month for us, but so busy too. The end of the school term, my pre-holiday panics about anything and everything (packing for this holiday, the fact that we’re away on the next one the day after we get back, how am I going to get work done with kids at home…) and Sam starting up his new driving school business – two self employed people – eek! We’re up in Norfolk at the moment, so our photos were taken last night in Digby’s garden (Digby is what the kids call Sam’s mum – no idea why!) and it’s actually the first time we’ve seen Sam for a few days as he’s been sailing and messing about with boats on the Broads. We’ve been keeping busy…

Me and Mine in June 18

Just the one photo to share for this month as although I thought the month was shooting by I didn’t actually get my bum in gear to take a photo until a couple of days ago! We spent one afternoon after school last week at the park and had a picnic tea with friends, and my friend’s daughter took this one for us! Complete with the little old man playing bowls on his own in the background! This month Sam has been full speed ahead with his driving instructor training and should be able to start his franchise next month, but I think the thing he has been most excited about is the sailing he’s been doing! He’s signed us up for family membership and we spent Fathers Day at…

Me and Mine – May 18

May was a weird month, both Sam and I were away for bits of it, me once and he twice, and because it’s been so disjointed I feel like I can’t really remember much of what happened! These photos were taken by my friend Amy, as my camera has been sent off for repair because the camera no longer recognised the lens – bit of a bummer really! Anyway, this was us this past weekend on our camping trip in the New Forest (you can read the blog post about it here and watch the video here should you wish) and we had a lovely time. The kids were exhausted by the end of the weekend, on the last night Arlo even asked if it was bed time and asked…

Me and Mine in April 18

Oh April, you lived up to your name that’s for sure! Showers and torrential rain were pretty much weekly occurrences! We had a pretty nice April though, all things considered though it would have been way better had we all not got sick, poor Arlo for two weeks!) We spent the first week of April in Wales, exploring Castles and walking around waterfalls – I have finally finished editing all the photos so at some point I will get a little post up for each of the fun things we did! The castle where we took our ‘Me and Mine’ snap is Powis Castle and was so lovely, the grounds were just amazing! This month I have been: Stressed – it’s hard to fit in all my work around the kids…
