Sleek Vintage Romance palette

I bought this last week with my Superdrug points, as I don’t actually need any more palettes (I have all the Sleek Palettes apart from the neon one, and i’m sure it’s only 80’s themed hen parties that buy that one…) but I figured spending points isn’t real money!

Guess which one was taken with my phones beauty function…where’d my freckles go!?

It’s full of lovely autumnal shades, although annoyingly no matt black, which I like to use as eyeliner so really like the fact it appears in the majority of their palettes, although there is sparkly black for more glamorous  occasions.  There is a Navy which could work well as a liner, and compliments my eye colour. The shades are called unnecessarily long names, but for the look above I used ‘Lust in LA’ on the lid and ‘Court in Cannes’ in the socket. I lined with ‘A vow in Venice’ on the lower lid and ‘Marry in Monaco’ on the lower, a really berry-ish colour that I thought might make me look like I’d been punched but I think it’s alright in small quantities!

The only colour it’s unlikely I’ll use is ‘Propose in Prague’ (top right) as it’s a funny matt colour that wouldn’t suit my skin tone. All the others are shimmery and highly pigmented as usual with Sleek, with lots of festive bronze/gold/silvers and a gorgeous deep purple too.

This is the look I wore when I went off to meet some lovely Brighton bloggers at a meal I organised at MeatLiquor, which was lovely and you can read a little about it here. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to experiment a bit more, but for everyday makeup I tend to stick to eyebrows and mascara, not hugely exciting!

Any new makeup purchases to share?
