Fat Face Holiday Shop

Fat Face isn’t a brand I have any familiarity with, so I was happy to be given the option to choose a couple of items from their Holiday Shop. There was so much to choose from, with styles to suit all shapes and sizes, and ages too I think! I’m always a little wary of ordering online from a brand I have no experience with in case sizing ends up being really out, but what I loved about the Fat Face website is that every item has a ‘user review’ option so you can not only see a star rating but see a little chart showing how other customers think it fits, from small to large. This was perfect for me so I knew to size up or not,…

Sudio headphones and a Caseapp giveaway [ended]

I am attached to my mobile phone for much of the day, taking photos, flicking through instagram, reading on the kindle app and then when we’re out and about I often listen to the radio or podcasts if both babies are asleep (bliss!). I also listen to music during the night feeds so a good set of headphones that are comfortable and give good sound quality are vital, in case I fall asleep listening and so I don’t wake Sam up! I also love to have an aesthetically pleasing phone case, seeing as I look at it a fair amount, although I am making an effort not to have it in my hand as much as Athena actually took it off me last week! I think she’s annoyed with the…

#MyBagMyStyle – Babymoov City changing bag

Babymoov  recently launched their new range of changing bags with a live catwalk show in Paris which was streamed live on the Internet!  I was lucky enough to see it up in London and not only did we get to see the bags on the catwalk but they were all there in the flesh for us to play with! I was torn between the City, the Style and the Glober but the City won out in the end and I am now the very proud owner of the City in the Zinc colour, a gorgeous deep grey! The Style bag comes in an array of designs and it does definitely look more like a hand bag than a changing bag, but it was smaller than the City and as I…

Museums and Galleries in Sheffield

The famous city of Sheffield is located in the county of South Yorkshire. Sheffield has so many attractions that it is difficult to arrange them in order of priority. Of course, we all know that this city has one of the largest universities in the UK (University of Sheffield) – among the top hundred of the best in the world and the top ten in the UK according to the Telegraph. And it also shows the best quality of life for students according to the Independent. However, our purpose is to show different cultural sights of the city instead of the well-known educational details like the most affordable student accommodation Sheffield and so on. Sheffield is a city with a long history and rich culture. Various places of interest, attractions…

I am the mum who…

I’ve seen this post a few times on peoples blogs and I love to read them, its always so interested finding out more about a person in their ‘mum’ role. Donna tagged me (you can read her post here) so I thought i’d join in! I am the mum who… Hates the word ‘mum’. I never called my mum ‘Mum’ in person! Didn’t want kids before I met my husband Am a completely different parent to the one I thought I’d be when I got pregnant the first time Has learnt to pick my battles with a headstrong toddler Chose to have two c sections due to anxiety and stress around giving birth Has no regrets at all about how her babies came into this world, when people ask me…

What the kids read & Win a Roald Dahl cushion

Here’s what Athena has been reading recently… Colours & Numbers by  Alain Grée rrp £9.99 each, available from Button Books These gorgeous hardback books are perfect for introducing colours and numbers to little people, and as the book progresses go into quite a lot of depth on each subject! The colours book talks about light and dark shades, and mixing. The Numbers book makes multiplication and division easy to understand by using fun pictures and stories. Athena would obviously have to be a super advanced just-turned-two-year-old to understand these parts but for the moment she is loving the pictures and turning the pages to see what’s next! These are definitely books to treasure as they’ll be helpful in the future when she starts getting homework! Making educational books look more like…

New to the UK: Chicco Nappies

Although I am a lover of cloth nappies there are times when disposables are much easier, like long car journeys, days when my mum has Athena and Arlo is in disposables overnight still too. Chicco asked if we were interested in putting their brand new to the UK nappies to the test on both babies bottoms and I agreed! We’ve not settled on a favourite disposable nappy brand, and tend to get whatever is on offer although I tend to steer clear from supermarket own brands as found they can have a funny odour once full. So with Arlo in size 2 and Athena in size 5 we’ve been using them when not in cloth nappies for the last fortnight. The nappies are slim fitting and come in handy carry…
