In which I go to a Christmas Party (outfit & face of the day)

My Works xmas do was on Monday & as I worked at 8am the next day (unlike a few other people who didn’t even make it in!) I didn’t have a huge amount to drink (alcohol doesn’t really agree with me anyway!) and was in bed by 1am! Still felt rough at getting up time but it could’ve been worse! The evening was fairly eventful, bitch fights, someone who went home wasted before we even got the secret santa out of the way, a concussion and A&E visit, people revealing a bit too much of themselves (not I for once!)  & lots of people drunkenly sucking up to me and telling me I am the best boss ever blah blah blah, I hope they cringed when they woke up in the morning and remembered being slimy! Maybe they thought I was drunk enough not to remember. I literally HATE being called boss, winds me up a treat!

Foundation Dior  skin forever extreme in 020, Cheeks Mac MSF in Light flush
Lips: Elf Matte lip colour in Praline
Eyes: Half baked from UD Naked Pallette on the lid, with MAC star violet blended into the crease with a slightly sparkly dark grey from a sleek palette that I can’t remember the name of!
Mascara is my usual Lancome Hypnose Drama on the top, and normal Hypnose on the bottom lashes, with a matte black smudged along the lower lashline, and a gel eyeliner on the top flicked out.
I highlighted the inner corners & brow bone with the pinky shade in the elf cream eyeshadow palette

My dress was purchased back in July, from forever 21. Gold polka dots sold it! It was £20 I think, certainly not much more than that!

Wine Cardigan with fur collar: Peacocks (£12 in the sale, and in black too!) The colour is actually truer in the first picture)
Nails: Models own pinky brown
Bow printed Tights: Primark
Shoes with bow straps: M&S
Noticing the bow theme?

The dress is short but the flared skirt and semi opaque tights helped to hide my bum cheeks!

Forgive the sin of tight with peep toes, but they’re small and the tights are semi sheer. SORRY FASHION POLICE. I love these shoes, very comfortable for a 4” heel as they have a small platform at the front and the heel is chunkyish. Alas, they are now too big for me since my feet shrunk a size over a year, anyone experienced this?

And a couple of pictures, illustrating the silly height difference between me and the boy. Remember I am wearing 4” heels. No idea why the first picture is so bright, but I kind of like it! Boy has a mouth full of onion ring in the other one, but at least he’s looking at the camera!
What did you do for your works do? Did you post about what you wore? please link to your post if you did!

  1. You look great, love the tights 🙂 Ahh bless are you mega tiny or is the boy mega tall? I’m pretty much the same height as my other half, I wish he was a little taller/I was a little shorter! Good effort not drinking, we were all seriously drunk last night & I was the only one not in work, I would not have liked to be in their shoes this morning!!x

  2. You look beautiful! Love the dress, tights, shoe combo! My feet also shrunk from a size 5 when I was about 15 to a size 3.5 now i’m 29! How? Why? It’s a phenomenon! lol

  3. Your work do sounds absolutely chaos! But as long as you somewhat had a goood time!
I love the dress, and definitely a fan of the tights.. I really need to get some funky ones. I keep saying this and actually don’t! Tomorrow I MUST.xx

  4. I love your hair, so pretty!  And I am in love with polka dots at the moment so wish I had been in forever 21 in July!

  5. Phew, glad I’m not the only one, I have a friend who was a 6 and is a 4 now, at thirty! I’m 28 in January so perhaps i’m heading towards 3.5 too! I was a 5 till the start of this year… such a weird thing!
