Last week I was kindly invited along to Great Expectations, a lovely independent baby shop on Lewes road. I’d not been in before so had no idea what to expect. The shop is well laid out with lots of different brands on display, and enough space to wheel buggies up and down for a test run (well, when the shop isn’t full of bloggers and their offspring!)
I was really surprised at the range of brands available, even including tandem buggies! Stokke, Uppa Baby, iCandy and Bugaboo all featured, along with some brands I’d not heard of before like Babyzen & Greentom.
Also available is a range of Stokke bedroom cots and iconic high chairs (take a look at my post on the Stokke Home range if you’ve not already seen it!) along with the latest range of car seats (to support the new iSize regulations coming soon which I really need to look into for when Arlo outgrows his 0+ seat) and baby carriers too!
Athena lounging in the BabyZen, and the Cybex pram which was light and easy to push and looked so comfortable!
The team who run the shop are very knowledgeable, which you would expect after being in the baby business since 1999! I would definitely recommend a visit if you are expecting a baby, you can’t beat impartial advice, and a personal service. After a lovely chat with some fellow Brighton bloggers and their little ones, scoffing some macaroons and cupcakes we were sent on our way with a lovely goody bag of useful baby bits, and let me tell you Athena is OBSESSED with the Stokke water bottle, and the little sun goggles with a waterproof strap are going to be so handy in the summer!
