What the kids wore: Thomas & Friends

IMG_8252A couple of weeks ago we were invited to the premier of the new Thomas & Friends film ‘The Great Race‘ and to celebrate the launch Arlo was sent some Thomas clothes to put to the test!

First up is a dungaree and vest set; stretchy lightweight denim and a cotton vest mean this set is perfect for warm summer days on a baby that is still alternating between crawling and walking. Poppers do up along the legs for easy nappy changes and there are two buttons on the straps to accommodate an ever lengthening baby! The stitched Thomas logo on the front is really cute and there are little appliques on the pockets too (what do babies put in pockets?)! One last lovely detail is the little turn ups on the legs, very sweet!

Arlo was also sent a set of 2 sleep suits, one poppers all the way from neck to feet and the other pulls on over the head with poppers at the legs. Both have lovely bright patterns that haven’t faded with washing (Arlo tends to eat breakfast in his PJs so they get washed a lot!) and are really generously cut, he still has plenty of growing room in these size 12-18 month sleepsuits at 14 months. I love that the feet have the little rubberised dimples on the bottom to help stop him slipping over as he learns to toddle about, and the feet are pretty generous too so no squished toes!

These photos have reminded me just how hard it is to get photos of a just-walking toddler! Arlo has always been incredibly active (much like his sister!) but he just DOES NOT STAY STILL, EVER! I need to play around with my camera and set it on sports mode or something, every other photo I managed was all blurry limbs! Also excuse the background mess, these were taken during our week of chicken pox quarantine so I didn’t really tidy up much seeing as it was going to get just as messy the next day!

Anyway, these clothes from the Thomas & Friends range are available at Tesco, along with lots more, including bibs, pants and shoes!

We were sent these items for the purpose of this review.

My gosh, hasnt Arlo grown up SO quick!! I am loving the Thomas clothing, my daughter would be very jealous as she loves the little Blue Engine. What did you kids think of the film? I took my two to the cinema at the weekend viewings and they enjoyed the film. Thank you for sharing #WeekendTotStyle
