House of Fraser are sponsoring this years Baftas, which take place on the 10th May and bring together the best on screen talent together to celebrate and award the creme de la creme! It’s like the British version of the Oscars and the theatre will be full to the brim with celebrities! Many who will be walking the red carpet will have been dressed by House of Fraser, who will aslo be keeping us up to date with the news and gossip in the run up to the night! There’s also a chance to win an amazing VIP package including tickets to the awards themselves on the House of Fraser website!
I’ve put together some of my favourite looks from previous red carpet events, with a bit of a British twist, sadly Sam and I will be nowhere near the red carpet so will probably be watching in our PJs, but we can dream, right?
1: Two-toned suits are very in right now, with coordinating lapels and often cuffs too
2: Cufflinks are a must for a proper shirt, these two British themed sets would be perfect for the BAFTAs
3: Shoes polished to a mirror finish to complete the look
4: Just the right amount of cuff on display peeking out from the dinner jacket
5: A textured white shirt to add some depth, or for the more adventurous a lightly patterned shirt, both these are from the House of Fraser range of shirts
Sam is on a health kick at the moment and is hoping to lose a few inches and then will be after a new suit for when he starts his new job later in the year, as well as his works Black Tie Ball, so I kind of hope he goes for the two toned suit look! He’s desperate to look suave and sophisticated (not that he doesn’t anyway of course!) so I’ll show him these tips and see what he says! Although I think the floral shirt may be a little out of his comfort zone!
