…didn’t really do anything of much excitement. This is a mixture of needing to recover from moving, continuing to sort the house out and unpack, and not having a whole load of money as maternity pay is a bit naff! I guess the highlights were going to my friend Elisas wedding (which was Athena’s first hotel stay too) and having lunch suspended from a Crane. I also did a bit more baking and cooking this month, and I am aiming to try and bake something new twice a month and a ‘proper’ dinner once a week (on a night when Sam isn’t working and I don’t have beans on toast!) and will blog the recipes if they turn out okay!

On Bank Holiday Monday we had a picnic with my mother and for a walk around Highdown Gardens on the South Downs.

I had a completely lazy day on Tuesday and didn’t leave the house (well, I think it was Tuesday, the days seem to merge together now I’m not at work and I never know what day it is!) and spent the rest of the week strolling around with a sleeping baby as she always naps better in the pram than at home, which is not helpful when I fancy a nap/have things to do at home, but never mind!

To celebrate September I’m off to peruse new cameras on Amazon, I think I want a Canon 1100d but I’m just not sure… my excuse is that we need a good camera to document Athena growing up, and neither of our two decent point and shoots will do!

Happy September all! I also still have a bib giveaway live for a few more days, you can enter here
